Suffolk Heaths

This for me is a new project for 2022 and still in progress. I've become really interested in this fairly small dense piece of ancient woodland and the opportunities if offers for a range of landscape photographic styles.

I have to admit - making bluelight or twilight shots of illuminated buildings has become a bit of an obsession for me like the souvenirs of trips. I seem to collect them. These are a few of the collection, often taken on a small point and shoot with a very small tripod.

This project is one I worked on in 2022 and 2023 as a submission for the Associate distinction (ARPS) of the Royal Photographic Society

There is something in minimalist images that has an air of simplicity but you know there's a lot of work gone into it and the nature of the images, often with long exposures ensures each one is unique. This is one of those 'in progress' projects

I regularly publish images to Instagram, but these are also some of my recent images.
