Just down the River walk from Woodbridge is Kyson Point. (15 min accessible walk.) It’s down the hill from NT Kyson Hill where the footpath joins the river path back to Woodbridge. Here there are some lovely views of the Deben, the salt marsh and the boats. It’s good to combine a visit here with one to Woodbridge which is a 15 minute walk away. Going in the other direction it’s possible to walk along Martlesham creek footpath but that is set back from the creek itself.

Public Transport: Train station in Woodbridge from Ipswich (Greater Anglia), walk down the River Path.
Parking: Free: Broomheath public car park – 700 yards up the hill.
Disabled Access: Via Woodbridge waterfront - from the Tide mill down the River path there seems to be good access (for a non wheel chair user!)
Facilities: There are public toilets in the Woodbridge station car park. There are cafes are on the waterfront & Woodbridge high street.

Photographic Opportunities
There is a waterside walk from the Kyson Point to Woodbridge this and the (muddy) footpath beach are the main viewpoints here.
From the end of the river path there are views back to Kyson Point across the salt marsh.
Kyson point beach is rather muddy but can offer compositions with the boats and the rising sun behind.
The boat ramp is private but as the foot path turns off there are views downstream.
The sun rises directly across the river (depending on the time of year) and provides great light around the time of sunrise before it gets too strong. The mornings are also the time most likely to have calmer waters for reflections.
The high tide will completely cover the mud and for an hour or so either side so bring wellies! At other times you can expect to include mud in river compositions!
