It's now more well known for it's pub the Ramsholt Arms and as place for sailors to moor and come ashore and make use of the well known pub. It can get busy on a sunny summer evening. However it also offers wonderful sunsets across The Deben.
Sometimes Ramsholt can be overlooked as a place to visit but the path along the Deben and up to the church can be well worth it but if it's not so good there's always the pub!

Once you have walked down past the pub there are a number of options:
Across the river through the boats to capture sunsets.
On the dock itself.
Up stream along the shore (below) and at low tide back towards the pub.
If you walk upstream along the river the path will present a number of views up to the church across the water meadow (The parish church of All Saints is one of 38 surviving round-tower churches in Suffolk).
The high tide will completely cover the mud and for an hour or so either side. At other times you, like other places on the Deben, can expect to include mud in river compositions!
